KNEE

Basics:

1) Thrust up and  forward  with  knee
2) Back  leg  raised  on ball  of  foot
3) Push forward (and twist) hip
4) Cover  head  (always)
6) Lean back and fully extend knee

Notice how Rajasak (red shorts) is leaning far back and his hands are up, protecting his head. It would be very difficult to strike Rajasak's head in this position.

Chris's knee is very powerful as you can see from the expression on Jitti's face.  You can almost see in the photo that his right foot is raised on the ball of the foot.  This gives extra power.  The lean back is also good.  However, notice that Chris's  hands are very low and compare with the picture of Rajasak above.   Rajasak's hands are higher protecting his head.
